Preferences

The preferences Dialog box is where you can set various default settings for flowlogic
It is split up into 9 Seperate logicial Sections

From this Area you can set Various plot and import options

• Real-time plot updates
  If enabled moving a gate will update child plots in real time
• High Definition Dot plots
  If enabled dot plots will not appear to pixalate when made large
• Show Events on histogram Axis
  If enabled Events in the first channel are shown on the histogram
• Show Events on Dotplot Axis
  If enabled Events in the first channel are shown on all 2 dimensional plots (dotplot, contour, etc)
• Open Density plot as default
  if Enabled then a density plot is shown by default when a new file is imported
• Save opened plots in window
  if enabled when a GLF file is opened the plots which were previously on the screen will be opened immediately
• Default Histogram Smoothing
  When a new histogram is created allows you to select the default type of smoothing
• Default Smoothing size
  When a new histogram is created allows you to select the default size of the smoothing area.
• Warn before Closing flowlogic
  If this option is disabled flowlogic will not prompt you to save prior to closing
• Automatically Release licence before closing flow logic
  If this option is enabled then flowlogic will automatically release the licence when it is closed.
• Fast FCS File Dialog
  With this option enabled the file dialog screen only checks the file extension prior to displaying files.
  With this option disabled files in the "File Open" dialog are scanned to detirmine if they are FCS files or not
• Limit Available fonts
  Limits the fonts available to flowlogic to only the fonts which are universally available.
• Enable autosave Every X Minutes
  With this option enabled every X Minutes flowlogic will automatically save your work.
• Enable Undo
  Allows undo to be disabled to allow flowlogic to run faster on low end computers.
• Statistics Setting
  Stat with Negative: Generates statistics on the full range, Geometric mean is not valid for negative values, therefore some files will not report a result.
  Stat without Negative: Generates Statistics only on events with a positive fluorescence
• Duplicate Files
  Allow all files: does not prevent the import of any files
  Prevent Duplicate Names: prevents the import of any files with duplicate internal names within the same folder
  Prevent Duplicate Files: prevents the import of any files with duplicate file name within the same folder
  
• Auto open Daughter Plot
  When a gate is created the daughter plot is opened immediately upon creation of the gate with this setting enabled
• Back Gating on by Default
  With this setting enabled backgating is enabled by default
• Show gate Label
  With this setting enabled gate labels are shown on plots
• Hide gate label text
  With this setting enabled only the statistic is shown on the gate label and not the gate name
• Gate label Value
  Allows you to select which statistic you would like to display in the gate label.

• Plot From Zero
  With this setting enabled the "from zero" setting is automatically applied to parameters
• Log-Scaled Transformation
  With this preference enabled the Log-Scaled setting is automatically applied to parameters
• Auto Axis Adjustment
  With this preference enabled flowlogic will attempt to adjust the axis in the best method possible when a file is initially loaded.
• Import FCS Files Compensated
  Automatically applies the internal compensation matrix to FCS files when they are loaded.
• Parameter Labels
  Allows the selection of which label is applied to parameters.
• X-Axis
  Allows the change of various settings for the X-Axis
• Y-Axis
  Allows the change of various settings for the Y-Axis

Allows the setting of various Options for when plots are exported.

Allows the current color palette to be changed for density plots.
There are a number of default palette's provided
to change a single color you may click it, to create a gradient between multiple colors drag the mouse cursor from one area to the next.

• Set the User interface layout
  Allows the flowlogic user interface to be customized
  Single Window View: The most commonly used Layout where all of flowlogic is contained within a single window
  Multiple Window View: Each Dotplot is a disconnected free-floating window.
  Split Screen View: Seperates flowlogic into multiple windows each containing individual area's of functionality
  
• 307 Style Stat Table
  Causes the Stat table to display in the same manner that it did in flowlogic 307
• Horizontal Statistics Table
  Allows for the data in the main statistics table to be rotated.
• Display Style
  Allows for the selection of various "Skins" for flowlogic
• Font Name
  Allows for the default selection of the font which is displayed by flowlogic.
• Default Table Formatting
  Allows for the selection of the default formatting options for all the tables in flowlogic which can have their formatting modified by the end user.

• Set Memory
  Allows you to set the amount of ram which flowlogic uses. It is suggested that at least 512 MB per CPU core on your computer is allocated
• File Associations (Microsoft Windows Only)
  Allows a file association to be created between flowlogic and files which flowlogic can understand.
  They can then be double clicked within windows explorer and automatically opened or imported into flowlogic

Allows you to set various default settings for newly created reports.

Allows you to set various default settings for newly created Data Array's.

• Set Color Overlay
  Allows you to select the default colors for plots which are added to the overlay.
• Set Transparency
  Allows you to set the level of transparency for items in the overlay
• Set Stat. Column
  Allows you to set the default columns which are enabled in the overlay statistics table
