Overview
The folder navigator allows you to logically group your files into projects and experiments, in addition to this the folder area can be used for operations
on all the files contained within.
When a folder is clicked then the file navigator will show the files within that folder and any plots that were open in that folder previously will come
back to the screen again.
Managing folders.
Moving files within flowlogic
Files can be dragged from the file navigator to any Experiment folder, their "groups" will be stripped off and then the files will be inserted into the folder that was
dragged to.
Importing Directly
From either the "import folders" menu item from the right click menu or a drag drop operation from your operating systems file browser ("Windows Explorer", "Finder", "Nautilus", etc.)
If a selection of files and/or folders are dragged and dropped into the folder navigator then folders will be automatically generated and populated with the appropriate files.
Moving Experiment from one folder to another
This can be performed via the "move" submenu of the right click popup for the folder navigator.
Renaming Folders
To rename a folder simply double click on its name in the folder navigator.
Folder Menu
The folder menu can be accessed via a "Right-Click" on the folder navigator area
- New Project
Creates a new Project Folder
- New Experiment
Creates a new Experiment Folder
- Import Folders
Imports a number of folders from the disk and populates them with the FCS files which they contain
- Import FCS
Imports a number of FCS files into the highlighted folder.

Replace Files
This submenu allows you to replaces all the files within a folder while maintaining the structure of the entire analysis.
- File Replace
Replaces all the files in the folder. depending on the user selection
- Advanced File Replace
Displays the Advanced File Replacement Dialog.
- Paste to Folders
Performs a paste operation of the gates in the clipboard to all highlighted folders
- Paste to Folders and Group
Performs a paste to folders and then places all files that are compatible into a cross-folder group.
- Build Plate
Builds a data array for each folder and populates it with files from that folder assuming that a plate naming convention is followed for the files (e.g. A01, A02, B6, etc.)
- Move To
Moves a given Experiment Folder to another project.
